An old meme is back on Twitter with a vengeance.
Twitter users have altered the "Never ask a woman her age" meme to expose some forgotten skeletons in the closets of celebrities.
According to KnowYourMeme, the meme format "Never ask a woman her age" first went viral in 2013 on Facebook. The original meme features the title "All three are going to lie to you," followed by "Never ask a woman her age," "Never ask a man his salary," and a third section for the purposes of meme creation. In the third section users would add another question you shouldn't ask a specific person or demographic. The 2022 version has dropped "All three are going to lie to you" and focuses on things you shouldn't ask celebrities. The meme isn't revealing anything new about celebrities, but are reminding us of past scandals.
One example of the meme posted by Twitter user @sonnerly reads, "or Jon Hamm why he transferred from the University of Texas to the University of Missouri," in reference to Hamm's involvement in a hazing scandal in the '90s. The meme urges people to google the incident alluded to. The meme will probably lead you into many Wikipedia rabbit holes.
Here are some celebrities who have been exposed by the meme.
